Geet yer bloody 'ands OFFA ME!!! RARRRhgh The dwarf was tossed head first into the pens by the Two Prison Guards tasked with bringing him in.
With a thunderous crash he came down, the sound of his clattered body echoed down the chambers.Ye'ell be regrettin' tha! A guard stood looking over him, this guard was dressed differently. It was an Arena Guard, one of the better trained guards that had the pleasure of Arena Duty. They were the cream of the crop, each of them hand chosen by the Arena Master himself. The Guard leaned over and whispered something at the dwarf.Nay, laddy! Ye be the one ta be watchin' yer mouth! and with that, the Arena Guard took his cue to cushion his foot on the Dwarfs red and beaten face. This blow knocking the dwarf unconscious, he sighs and walks off leaving Rulinus in a pool of his own blood and urine.

So far I do not have very many ideas to improve upon the game. This is by far one of the more challenging survival servers. My first few characters were fleshed out and died relatively quickly. I've been maintaining a distance with most of my other characters because of their short lifespan. This has resulted in a great deal of fairly generic characters because I feel like it would be exhausting to lose one I cared about so often. I find it difficult to maintain distance otherwise.
Yes, I understand this completely, especially so for Gladiator Survival where your characters choices for survival are limited and the setting is actively trying to get you killed. (arena matches, punishment, etc) Edit: I suppose I have one minor suggestion if it isn't too much trouble. I notice it is very difficult to see what is going on in the arena when you are spectating from the Pulvinus, which is a shame. I believe it is because line of sight is blocked by the placeables around it. You are also teleported back to the slave pens as soon as the match is over which is kind of jarring, maybe that could be delayed by a few rounds.
This is a great idea, you will find that I have increased the number of seconds before the players are ported back, also I will look into fixing the visibility issue.

If the server is set in Athas, then I think there would need to be something that spells out the differences in the setting. Stuff like how there are no gods, Elves are violent short lived claustrophobic, Halflings are savage cannibal tribals, Dwarves have no hair, at all, not even beards.
This is something we will slowly be working towards, since the server is still very much within development there isn't any reason to jump headlong into things that I will have to code in/modify in the game. I don't really want to have to use custom content haks as I feel that will negatively affect the server population (even if it has a very small population already)... So for now we will just assume that the setting is a new Darksun setting where the previous trappings of the setting that do not mesh with NWN are not present.

The Burnt World of Athas, the place where this evil all began.
You find yourself in the City of Draj, capital of the great and brutal Empire. This oppressive regime had just finished the first step of it's long injustice to the humanity of others. It had set upon it's claws on ever corner of the world and was not going to lose it's grasp. The shadowy Emperor and his Grand Sorcerer had ascended this plague that was the Imperial Rule. Not much is known about the Emperor or his Sorcerer, but many rumors do exist. With no where left to conquer on the dying planet of Athas, the Emperor and his Sorcerer set their sites on the horizon. They began assembling an army for invasion, and with the liberal usage of the Sorcerers magics they were one ultra-dimensional portal away from their newly conquered realms.
Here in Draj where you find yourself now, the old guard's quarters of a re-purposed fort. With total global control there was no need for masses of forts in Athas anymore, in their place the Emperor erected massive statues and bloodied Arenas where the dull masses could satiate their own bloodlust. As an infection was their greed, they actually had the masses believing in their propaganda, their message of superiority above all other beings.
This Arena is now where you find yourself, and you will have to come to terms with it or die in the pits... Your characters may roleplay being from another DND Setting as they may have been captured during the invasionary periods of the Empire.

This post is to help users unlock all of the available portraits and soundsets for usage in Neverwinter Nights.
The game doesn't intend to allow you to use Singleplayer NPC voicesets because they figure this would be immersion breaking, sadly they didn't have the foresight to figure that in multiplayer no such restriction need apply.
To unlock all of your portraits and soundsets download the file below and place it's contents in your "/override" folder in your NWN installation directory. DOWNLOAD

Neverwinter Nights Client Extender (NWNCX)
The Neverwinter Nights Client Extender is a set of files that modifies the player-side game client software. Created by virusman (a programmer that is heavily involved with NWNX2 (the server-side Neverwinter Nights Extender), NWNCX is designed to improve the base game for players.
For the player, it does a few very noticeable things: • removes the long wait for the (non-functional) Master Server to time out • unlocks the game's camera angle limitation (so you can do things like look straight up to see more of the game) • makes it possible to see new weapon visual effectsx, beam effects, and "skin" effects (like with barkskin) in-game • opens the possibility for open-face helms (custom content creators needed for this) • gives DMs the ability to use "instant feats" while possessing an NPC • restores multiplayer server listing in-game (using data from Skywing's replacement listing server) NWNCX version 0.2.9

The only Custom Content being used in Gladiator Survival is CEP 2.4 Currently we do not have plans to include any other custom haks, and a decision still needs to be made on whether to upgrade to CEP 2.6 FILES LINKED BELOW:CEP 2.4
